What is DevShare?

DevShare is a revenue sharing program that allows you to make money from your widgets. Currently, DevShare is only available on Facebook applications but we are working hard to expand your money-making opportunities. When you use the App Accelerator to turn your widgets into Facebook apps, ad serving capabilities are built-in. By signing up for DevShare, you can take a 50% cut of the ad revenue earned on your app.

How do I sign up for DevShare?

Once you create your Facebook application with the App Accelerator, select the checkbox to opt-in on the Overview page. See the screenshot below for more detail.

Can I remove ads from my Facebook app?

At this time, it is not possible to remove ads on Facebook apps. This is how we can afford to make the service free. By signing up for DevShare, you’ll receive 50% of the ad revenue Widgetbox collects from Ads on the app.

What if I do not have a PayPal account?

Unfortunately, we are not able to make non-PayPal payments at this time. To sign-up for a free PayPal account, go to www.paypal.com and select “Personal Account”.

How much money can I expect to make?

Given the wide range of success of Facebook applications, it is difficult to say. But, it is safe to say the more users who use your applications, the more money you will make.

Is DevShare available on my other Widgetbox widgets?
